Slingsby and Dixon was founded by Damian Tarnopolsky in Toronto in 2015. We write and edit all manner of documents, from personal websites to non-fiction books. We also offer editorial consulting, writing training, and research services.  

Damian Tarnopolsky has two decades of experience as a writer, teacher, and critic. Previously an editor at Random House of Canada, his freelance projects include work for academic clients, fiction writers, and many well-known corporations, non-profit organizations, and publishers. 

He holds degrees from the University of Toronto, Oxford University, and the Humber School for Writers, and has taught writing and literature at the University of Toronto, Humber College, Massey College, and elsewhere. He is currently Creative Lead at the Narrative-Based Medicine Lab. His essays and articles have appeared in the national press and online, and his creative work includes a recent collection of linked stories, Every Night I Dream I’m a Monk, Every Night I Dream I’m a Monster.
